MINUTES TO PTO MEETING 11/7/2013

Attendees: Dawn Krzykowskil; Tisha Dauch; Tamika Sims

Candy Brainard; Janet Deary; Lakeisha Chapman; Heidi Johnson
Cathryn & Swanie Morris (Kennedy);
Raven (who kept watch over children)

Movie Night:  Ms. Roseanne may attend. There are still boxes of candy bars to put out for sale.  Heidi may be able to get movie passes to raffle.

Believe Fundraiser Delivery:  Depending on time, Keisha may be able to help on the 13th.  We will send out an email from CCS PTO asking for volunteers next week.

PTO Meeting night:  Suggestion made to make simple survey asking parents/guardians what preference they have for what day of the week would be best to hold the monthly PTO meetings, as well as what week (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th).  If we get it to the office by Tuesday, the teachers will have them filled out at the conferences.  This will give us a better idea of what works for the majority.

Santa breakfast: Will be held at school on Saturday Dec 7th.  Plans are coming along. There will be 2 sittings for breakfast, book reading, crafts/ cookie decorating, etc.  If help is needed filling gaps, Tamika will let us know. Tamika will follow up with Arri Sendzimir regarding food donations from BJ’s or have classrooms donate food for breakfast.

Holiday Shoppe:  To be held 3 days - Dec 4th - 6th 8am - 3pm.  Per Tamika can be managed with 2 volunteers per day.  If we need help, she will let us know.

Family Dinner night:  Interest in getting more information for McDonald's, Wendy’s, Chuck - E- Cheese, Friendlies.  NO to Panera Bread (menu not very "kid friendly", more pricey than other fast food chains)
Pink Zebra candles:  Maybe around Valentine’s Day
Mary Kay: NO
Script Gift Cards: NO
Question on Stop & Shop Gift Cards:  Ms. Ellen said years ago, the school would sell S&S gift cards (at face value), and the school would get a percent of the card sold.  Maybe it's worth looking into.

Shopping online at Boxtops Marketplace for EBoxtops and also Amazon to earn .05% on most items for CCS was mentioned.  "Give Local" was mentioned.

Action Items:
Need office to call the church inquiring what Friday in February or March is available from 5-8pm for us to have our annual CCS Dance.
